5. Legal bases
Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), we rely, as applicable, on: performance of a contract and preliminary procedures; compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation; regular exercise of rights; credit protection and fraud prevention where applicable; legitimate interest, preceded by a necessity and impact assessment; and consent, which can be revoked.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Strictly necessary cookies maintain login, security, cart, consent preferences and website operation. Optional analytics or advertising cookies are used only according to the choice recorded in the consent banner and applicable law. You can review your choice through the website’s privacy mechanism or your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the platform from working.

We do not sell personal data.
8. International transfers
Some suppliers and the certificate-issuing entity may operate outside Brazil. In such cases, data may be processed in other countries with appropriate contractual, technical and organizational measures and the mechanisms provided by the LGPD and the regulations of the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
9. How long we retain data
Data is kept for the time necessary for the purposes informed, for the delivery of the course, for certificate issuance and validation, for compliance with legal and tax deadlines, for fraud prevention and for the exercise of rights. Once the purpose ends, data is deleted, anonymized or retained only in the cases authorized by law.
10. Security
We adopt controls compatible with the risks, such as encryption in transit, access management, security logs, updates, backups and data minimization. No system is infallible; therefore, relevant incidents will be handled and communicated to data subjects and to the ANPD when required.
11. Your rights
Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you may request, as applicable: confirmation of processing; access; correction; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or irregular data; portability; information about sharing; deletion of data processed with consent, except in the legal cases; information about the possibility of refusing consent; revocation of consent; objection; and review of decisions made exclusively by automated means that affect your interests.
Send your request to [email protected]. To prevent fraud, we may confirm your identity proportionally. Exercising your rights is free of charge. If a request cannot be fully met, we will explain the legal reason. You may also contact consumer protection bodies and the ANPD.
12. Children and adolescents
The courses are intended for adults. We do not intentionally collect data from children for enrollment purposes. If an adolescent uses the service, their legal guardian must take part in the contracting and in the exercise of rights, observing applicable law and the best interest of the minor.
13. External links and services
Third-party websites or applications have their own policies. We recommend reading those documents before providing data outside Freud Academy domains.
